“Play as a delivery robot trying to delivery a cheese sandwich on the moons surface, while trying to avoid the harmful rays of the sun”.

Lunar Eats was a solo project created as part of a small game jam. The mechanics are based off a light and shadow system, where if the player stays in the sun for too long, they burn up. The shadows are dynamic and move as the player progresses through the level. It has been enjoyed by streamers on Twitch who began speed running the level. I plan to take my playable prototype and develop this for a release on the Playdate (a hand held console with a crank) where the crank it self with directly affect the shadow casting direction.

Responsibilities

 

- Concept, prototype, and lore creation.

- Character and environment art creation within Aseprite.

​- Unity development and game mechanics.

 

- UI development. 

- Animation.


- Balancing & adjusting the game play and pacing based on play testing and feedback.

Lunar Eats is currently being developed for the Playdate. With a playable prototype available online.
